Chalcroft has commenced work on the design & build of a new speculative warehousing and distribution scheme at Symmetry Park, Aston Clinton for commercial property developer, db symmetry.
The business park will be developed in two phases: Phase 1 consists of 23,000m² of space across three units (5,100m², 7,700m² and 10,200m²). This first phase alone will represent the largest current speculative warehouse and distribution development in the North West M25 region.
The units will include warehousing with Grade A office accommodation and associated works, including car parking, service yards, roadways and landscaping.
Chalcroft Strategic Projects Director, Andy Howard, commented, “We are delighted to be working with db symmetry and their partners to develop Phase 1 of Symmetry Park. The buildings, which feature a range of heights up to 12m and 50kN/m² floor loading, will be highly sustainable, achieving EPC A and BREEAM Very Good.”
Representatives from Aylesbury Vale District Council, Buckinghamshire Thames Valley Local Enterprise Partnership, Buckinghamshire Business First and Savills Project Management joined db symmetry and Chalcroft for the recent ground-breaking ceremony.
db symmetry Development Director, Tom Leeming (pictured front) added: “With strong interest already being shown in our Aston Clinton site, we are confident our provision has a competitive edge in the market with its strategic location, prime position and occupier costs.
“Chalcroft, with its proven track record as a Principal Contractor, has demonstrated its capability to fulfil this scale of project to the time, specification and investment requirements and we look forward to announcing prospective tenants and freeholders at the development.”
